Eiffel Tower,, after a heavy winter downpour.

Eiffel Tower. There it stood in all might, after a heavy winter downpour. And it allowed clouds to replace the monotonous blue sky in background. Lucky to be there, just at the right moment. Zeiss lens did the rest.

Arc de Triomphe stands amid some heavy Paris' traffic on Avenue des Champs-Elysées on a highly overcast afternoon.

Venus at Louvre

Venus. This 2nd to 3rd century Italian marble statue of Venus (Aphrodite) follows the style of a modest Aphrodite, also seen in other Roman replicas, which are copies of 3rd century BC Hellanistic Greek statues now lost.

Charles Gumery's La Poésie, Opera House Paris

Opera House Paris, and Charles Gumery's La Poésie, on top of it. It is called now Palais Garnier.
Undoubdetdly, the most famous opera house in the world was also the setting for Gaston Leroux's 1910 novel The Phantom of the Opera.

Jardins du Trocadéro (Trocadéro Gardens)

Jardins du Trocadéro (Trocadéro Gardens) and Palais de Chaillot complex housing many museums in Paris. The place between two buildings was used by me to take some mesmerising pictures of Eiffel Tower.
